Wystawa w ramach Cracow Gallery Weekend KRAKERS 2015

“ZAPALNE SZEPTY”
W skład wystawy wchodzi cykl obrazów zatytułowany “Dom złotników” i ”Sanatorium” oraz prace rysunkowe.
W cyklu pierwszym artysta eksploruje czynność, jaką jest tworzenie przedmiotu, koncentrując się na osobie tworzącej zamiast na powstałej rzeczy.
W drugim cyklu malarskim artysta przedstawia swoją fantastyczną interpretację miejsca, jakim jest sanatorium, opracowując je w znaczeniu formalnym, jak i konceptualnym, a także jako poetycką refleksję na temat uzdrawiania ciała.
Na wystawie znajduje się także zbiór rysunków, których nie łączy wspólny temat. Prace te pokazują większą swobodę wysuwając na pierwszy plan walory formalne i czysto plastyczne.
ANGEL PERDOMO
Angel Perdomo jest artystą urodzonym na Teneryfie (Wyspy Kanaryjskie, Hiszpania). Jego przygotowanie artystyczne, z własnego wyboru, jest autodydaktyczne. Obecnie mieszka w Krakowie, gdzie kontynuuje swoją pracę i karierę artystyczną.
O TWÓRCZOŚCI:
Głównym impulsem jego twórczości jest eksplorowanie percepcji i projekcji rzeczywistości. Szczególnie interesuje go praca z człowiekiem, który protagonizuje jego prace skoncentrowane głównie na cielesności. Poszukuje czystej ekspresji plastycznej, ale jego zamierzeniem jest także kwestionowanie wyglądu fizycznego. Jego twórczość mówi także o wzajemnym oddziaływaniu, które powstaje między człowiekiem i jego otoczeniem; o tym, w jaki sposób nasza cywilizacja wpływa na przestrzeń społeczną, a przede wszystkim, w jaki sposób jednostki wpływają na przestrzeń własną. W swoich pracach nie stara się uzyskać konkretnych odpowiedzi. Mimo tego, iż posiada sprecyzowane cele i zainteresowania, poszukuje odpowiedzi sensorycznych. Jego intencją jest zbliżenie się do rzeczywistości w sposób bardziej emocjonalny niż racjonalny. Chce malować obrazy wolne od jednoznacznych wyjaśnień. Tworzy prace o otwartych znaczeniach, które opierają się na użyciu fantastycznego i poetyckiego języka.

“Flammable whispers”
Description of the exhibition:
The exhibition comprises a series of paintings entitled “Goldsmith’s house” and “Sanatorium” as well as some drawings.
In the first series the artist focuses on the activity of creating an object itself, putting an emphasis on a creator rather than on a newly emerged object.
In the second series of paintings, the artist depicts his fantastical interpretation of the place which is sanatorium. He worked both on its formal and conceptual meaning. He saw it also as a poetic reflection on healing of the body.
In the exhibition there is also a collection of drawings that are not connected to one another by any theme. These works show greater flexibility by bringing formal and purely plastic values to the fore.
ANGEL PERDOMO
Angel Perdomo is an artist born on Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) who decided to self-train himself in arts. At present he lives in Cracow where he continues his work and artistic career.
ABOUT HIS OUTPUT:
The main impulse for his work is an exploration of perception and the projection of reality. He is particularly interested in working with human being who is a protagonist of his works that concentrate mainly on corporeality. Perdomo seeks to pure plastic expression but he aims also at questioning of the physical appearance. His works talk also about the interaction which arises between humans and their environment; he touches on the way our civilization influences social space and first and foremost, how individuals affect their own space. He doesn’t try to receive certain answers in his works. Despite the fact that his goals and interests are clearly defined he pursues the sensory answers. His intention is to get closer to reality, preferably in an emotional rather than rational way. He wants to create paintings free of clear explanations. He creates works with open meanings, a basis for which is the usage of fantastical and poetic language.
